ABOUT

The schema layer for enterprise data

What Talonic is

Talonic is the schema layer for enterprise data. It sits between unstructured documents and structured databases — capturing, extracting, matching, and delivering schema-validated data with per-cell provenance and full audit trail. The platform transforms contracts, invoices, scans, emails, claims, and manifests into data assets that are audit-ready, queryable, and compounding.

Unlike parsing vendors that stop at text extraction, Talonic treats schema validation, case resolution, and entity matching as first-class primitives. The output isn't parsed text — it's a workflow-ready data asset that drops directly into SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Ivalua, Salesforce, TMW, or any system of record.

How we got here

Talonic was founded in 2023 in Berlin by Nikolas Adamopoulos (CEO) and Holger Nordsiek (CTO). The company emerged from a simple observation: every enterprise AI pilot fails for the same reason — not because the model is wrong, but because the data isn't ready.

In 2025, Talonic co-authored DIN SPEC 91491 alongside Fraunhofer IIS, Humboldt-Innovation, and GIIC — Europe's first standard for AI-ready data at the schema layer. The standard codifies the schema layer as a distinct infrastructure category, and Talonic is its reference implementation.

Production deployments include GETEC (8,500+ energy contracts, Germany), Phoenix Group (22,000 vendor contracts to Ivalua, Germany), and Bridgeway (logistics document processing replacing a $175K incumbent, USA). The platform processes over 30,500 enterprise contracts as of April 2026.

The team

Talonic is a 13-person team based in Berlin, building the infrastructure layer that makes enterprise data AI-ready. Backed by Maruti Suzuki Innovation, EWOR, JVH Ventures, KIEZ AI, and Superangels.
